NEW YORK - The marriage of the singer-actress Beyonce Knowles and hip-hop mogul Jay-Z is official - the couple have submitted papers marriage, an employee of the city into a suburb of New York City said Tuesday.
The couple held a luxurious private party in Manhattan on April 4, but have been mum about the details of their wedding. The guests reportedly included Gwyneth Paltrow and Beyonce former bandmates Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
"The licence was sent back to our office on Friday," said Donna Conkling, an employee of the city of Scarsdale Village in the suburbs of Westchester County. She would not say who officiated.
Knowles was born in Houston, and former Brooklyn street hustler Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, have been linked romantically since September 2002. The couple has collaborated on songs "'03 Bonnie and Clyde" and "Crazy In Love".
